Prior to the 2017 season, the Detroit Lions made some major changes to their uniforms. Because of NFL rules which state a team can only make changes every five years, the Lions uniforms will be the same until at least 2022.

That being said, the Lions, along with the rest of the teams in the NFL, could have an addition to their uniforms in 2019.
The 2019 campaign marks the NFL’s 100th season and according to some screenshots from the Madden 20 video game, each team could be wearing the NFL100 logo on their jersey, helmet, and pants.

Now, it is important to remember that this is just a video game but the Madden franchise has always taken pride in getting even the smallest details correct.
Also, this would be a nice way for the NFL to get an uptick on jersey sales for the upcoming season, so it will probably happen!
