RUMOR: Detroit Lions’ next offensive coordinator could soon become available

It's time for the Detroit Lions to move on from offensive coordinator, Jim Bob Cooter. Heck, it was time to move on from him a long time ago but that is a discussion for another day.

Most are assuming that Cooter will be calling plays for the Lions for the last time on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers as he will likely/hopefully be fired as soon as the season ends.

So, the question is, who will be the Lions' next offensive coordinator?

Well, a rumor has emerged that if current Miami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase is fired and becomes available in the coming days, he could be hired by the Lions.

Now, we would like to stress that this is pure rumor at this point but the hire would make sense if the stars aligned.

As noted by Erik Schlitt of Lions Wire, Gase was the offensive coordinator in Denver when Cooter was the QB coach and the two run a similar scheme.

Nation, would you like to see the Lions bring in Adam Gase as their next offensive coordinator?

If the Detroit Lions make this BOLD combo of moves, they will win the NFC North in 2019

The 2018 version of the Detroit Lions sucked horribly. The head coach sucked. The offense sucked. The defense sucked. Heck, even the special teams sucked at times.

So, with that established, what can be done during the offseason to turn things around on time for the kickoff of the 2019 season?

Though I have a few ideas up my sleeve that would help the team to improve greatly, the biggest idea is one that will likely blow your mind. Mostly because I am not sure if it has ever been done before.

In my opinion, there is one BOLD move the Lions can make this offseason that will, in turn, put the wheels in motion for a 2019 NFC North Title run.

Now, I get it. You are probably already shaking your head and calling me a moron for thinking the Lions have any chance in 2019.

But they do.

IF and ONLY IF they make this BOLD move. (Technically it is a trio of moves but stick with me)
