According to NHL Rumors, general manager Steve Yzerman and the Red Wings are “picking up their pursuit of Jacob Trouba.”

Trouba, who is a 25-year-old defenseman, is a former NHL All-Star (2016-2017 season) who currently plays for the Winnipeg Jets.

This past season, Trouba scored eight goals and dished out 42 assists in 82 games with the Jets.
