We would like to emphasize that this is currently just a rumor.

I'm not trying to mislead my followers. I am confident in my source, which is why I was willing to report this. However, I myself cannot independently verify this, so I am not going to act like this is an official report.

According to Michigan insider Sam Webb, this is premature and Wolverines’ athletic director Warde Manuel still plans on interviewing Juwan Howard on Tuesday.
For those asking, I'm told this is premature. I'm told that Warde Manuel is on his way to, or already in Miami for tomorrow's planned meeting with Juwan Howard. Maybe they'll eventually land on Cooley, but they haven't yet. https://t.co/nDOv44As1p

Regardless, it sure seems like we will know who the next head coach of Michigan basketball is before long.
