On Sunday, news broke that now-former Michigan offensive coordinator Josh Gattis has left the Wolverines to take the same position at the University of Miami.
Now, according to a rumor from Wolverine Digest, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has decided on his offensive coaching staff.
Brandon Brown is reporting that according to a “someone connected to the program,” Sherrone Moore and Matt Weiss will be the co-offensive coordinators in 2022 with Mike Hart getting the title of run game coordinator. Brown also noted that in this scenario, Harbaugh is expected to be much more involved in the playcalling.
*Once again, nothing has been officially reported and this is just a rumor at this time.
From Wolverine Digest:
According to someone connected to the program, Harbaugh is going to keep Sherrone Moore in his current role as the offensive line coach with co-offensive coordinator duties. The plan is to pair Moore with Matt Weiss, who coached quarterbacks last year. Weiss will be recognized as quarterbacks coach and co-offensive coordinator.
In addition to Moore and Weiss being co-offensive coordinators, Mike Hart is expected to be the run game coordinator.
Not only will there be a few cooks in the kitchen, Harbaugh is expected to be more personally involved in the offensive play calling.
Stay Tuned.
