As you know, the Detroit Lions are currently in the process of interviewing candidates for their current head coach opening. In fact, they have already interviewed four candidates, including former Bengals HC Marvin Lewis, Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy, interim HC Darrell Bevell, and 49ers DC Robert Saleh.
Now, you may remember a couple of years ago when Dan Leach of 97.1 The Ticket tweeted out that a limo driver told him that he had just picked up then Raiders LB Khalil Mack and that he was driving him to a meeting with then Lions general manager Bob Quinn.
Just heard from a Metro Detroit limo driver that he just picked up Raiders LB Khalil Mack and he is going to meet with #Lions GM Bob Quinn Monday. Stay tuned…….

That single tweet started the wheels in motion and had a ton of Lions fans believing that Mack going to sign with Detroit.
That rumor was eventually proven to be untrue, but to this day, it is one that many like to joke about.
But now there is a new rumor making its way around social media and it has to do with a bakery revealing the Detroit Lions’ next head coach.
It all started with the tweet listed below that was tweeted out from Twitter user @playstaystion, who has just 24 followers.
As you can see, the tweet indicates that Robert Saleh‘s wife was in a bakery to pick up a white cake with says “Congratulations, Coach” in blue icing.
Check it out.

Ladies and gentlemen, believe it or not, that tweet has plenty of Lions fans talking this morning and they are convinced that it is a dead give away that Saleh will be the next head coach of the Detroit Lions. I am serious. The way I found out about this tweet in the first place was from a co-worker who sought me out this morning to share the great news!
Lions fans are literally calling this random bakery to see if Robert Saleh got hired. I think it’s safe to say we want Saleh as the next HC.

Hopefully, you are not one of the fans that have been duped by this make-believe tweet, but if you are, that’s ok, we still love you.
Oh, by the way, the whole bakery tweet may be a joke (it IS a joke), but in my opinion, Saleh will be the next head coach of the Detroit Lions, so preheat the oven and get the cake batter going!
