When it comes to the worst head coaches in Detroit Lions history, it is hard to get very far into the discussion without mentioning Matt Patricia.
Patricia was finally fired by the Lions during the 2020 season, along with buddy Bob Quinn, after completely running the franchise into the ground from where it was with Jim Caldwell. (Note: it was not in a great spot with Caldwell either but it was certainly better than where Quinntricia left it)
Anyways, Bob Quinn is still looking for a job in the NFL but Patricia is back with the New England Patriots as Bill Belichick‘s right-hand man.
On Tuesday, during Good Morning Football, Peter Schrags said something that he does not think will go over well in Detroit.
“The secret weapon in New England this year might very well be Matt Patricia. I know how that statement will go over in Detroit. I don’t care. Patricia has been very involved in NE’s 2021 off-season moves & is as trusted & influential a sounding board in the building.”
