As we reported earlier, the Big Ten is expected to announce soon that there will be a 2020 football schedule.
According to a source of Brett McMurphy, the Big Ten's first option is to play 8 games in 9 weeks, beginning Oct. 16-17. If the season starts then, the B1G title game will be held on Dec. 19, which is the day before the final College Football Playoff rankings are released. If games do not start on Oct. 16-17, the title game would be pushed back a week.
