It is no secret that Matthew Stafford had a preference of where he was going to be traded and on Saturday night that preference became a reality as he was dealt to the Los Angeles Rams.
Following the trade, Justin Rogers of the Detroit News tweeted out that a source who spoke to Stafford after the trade said he was “thrilled” with the deal.
Stafford, no surprise, is thrilled with the deal, according to a source who spoke with the QB.

Nation, are you happy that Stafford is happy?
Glad to see him get an opportunity with a good football team. He was never able to put the Lions over the top and I do not buy on the forever excuse of his deficient offensive line. He just wasn’t an over the top quarterback though he put up some nice stats. Am very happy that the Lions received a good qb in return and excellent future draft choices. Maybe Goff will surprise in the Motor City. Or perhaps all 3 draft choices and Goff and Detroit’s no. 1 pick this year could land them Deshawn Watson (not a bad trade, eh?)
