Spartan QB commit Messiah deWeaver striving to continue winning tradition at MSU

Following Michigan State’s blowout loss to Alabama in the College Football Playoff semifinals, the big question on everyone’s mind was can the Spartans continue their recent success after losing twenty 5th-year Seniors? One MSU commit is striving to build on the foundation that the current team has laid down for him.

4-star quarterback recruit Messiah deWeaver took to Twitter to congratulate the team on an outstanding season and promised to work as hard as possible to carry on the winning tradition.

deWeaver, a 6’4″ 215 lb commit from Huber Heights, Ohio is joining a 2016 class that could be head coach Mark Dantonio’s greatest since arriving in East Lansing in 2006. Including deWeaver, the 2016 class has commits from 10 4-star recruits according to Rivals.com. Currently the Spartans’ 2016 class is ranked within the top 20 across most recruiting service databases.

deWeaver is the 8th ranked pro-style passer in the 2016 class according to Rivals.com.
