Spartans heading back to the Elite 8 with 62-58 win over Oklahoma

Tom Izzo and his crew are heading back to the Elite 8!!

Travis Trice had 24 points and the #7 Spartans got clutch free throw shooting down the stretch from Denzel Valentine to defeat the #3 Oklahoma Sooners tonight in Syracuse, 62-58.

All game long, the Spartans couldn’t hit from the free throw stripe. Heading into halftime, they were just 3 of 10 from the line, and it looked as if free throws would once again do them in. However, MSU hit their final 6 free throws and held off a very tough Oklahoma team.

Up next for the Spartans is a date with Rick Pitino and the #4 Louisville Cardinals on Sunday with a trip to the Final Four on the line (2:20pm ET). Go Green!!
