Spartans qualify for championship game in latest ESPN bracket

If only we could have played the rest of the season!

Due to the spread of COVID-19, the NCAA decided to call off its men’s and women’s basketball tournaments last month in a landmark decision made to help flatten the curve of the illness.

For the Michigan State Spartans, that halted what would have been a special run according to the latest bracket from ESPN. Bracketologist Joe Lunardi’s latest edition had the Spartans taking down Bradley, Virginia, and Illinois before advancing to the Final Four with a win over Louisville.

In the hypothetical matchup between the two, Michigan State emerged with an 87-84 win over Gonzaga.

Would the Spartans be able to take down Florida State in the hypothetical championship game? We can dream!
