Sweet 16: Michigan vs. Texas Tech point spread shifts/Final score prediction

On Thursday night, No. 2 Michigan will take on No. 3 Texas Tech for a spot in the Elite 8.

The Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas opened the point spread on Sunday at Michigan -2. That spread has since dropped to -1.5 in favor of the Wolverines.

Since the day the bracket was released, I (as a Michigan fan) have been dreading this possible matchup for the Wolverines as Texas Tech also has one of most dominant defenses in the nation.

The Red Raiders have looked like one of the most impressive teams thus far in the tournament and you can bet Michigan will have their work cut out for them in what should be a defensive battle.

That being said, giving John Beilein nearly a week to prepare will be just what the doctor ordered for the Wolverines.

First team to 60 wins this one.

Michigan 61  Texas Tech 59
