Special Teams- What’s the issue?

As Red Wings fans collectively sift through the stats so far this season to try and figure out what is different with the team this year, there is one thing that sticks out to this point: special teams. After finishing last season with the second-best power play unit in the league (23.81%), there has been … Read more

Looking Ahead: Red Wings 2015-16 Season Preview

In the 2014-15 season, we saw an improved Detroit Red Wings team who was one year removed from an incredibly injury-riddled season. Stars, Penguins Swap Young Talent

At this rate, next Monday is going to be pretty uneventful. With a full week to go still until the trade deadline, there have been nearly 20 trades in the last few weeks. Some times may have finished their buying and selling, but some still have some pieces they’d like to acquire or jettison. With that being said, the Pittsburgh Penguins made a big move, finally adding a top-flight winger for Crosby to play with…if he’s ever able to return from his concussion.
