The night was young. The unranked Michigan State Spartans had surprised college football and jumped ahead on the #11 Michigan Wolverines in Ann Arbor 27-10 with 8:43 left in the fourth quarter. And then, as this rival has so many times before, reality set in for the Spartan faithful.
Michigan came roaring back on the shoulders of Braylon Jamel Edwards as the Wolverines fought back to beat the Spartans 45-37 in triple overtime. Edwards racked in a ridiculous 189 receiving yards on 11 receptions with three touchdowns, including two TDs that showed his prowess as a receiver. The Spartan defensive backfield and all of Spartan Nation watched in shock as Edwards and star QB Chad Henne diced the Spartan secondary for arguably the best comeback victory in Paul Bunyan Trophy history.
