The Detroit Tigers continue to struggle at the dish. They scored three runs or fewer in nearly every game on their previous West Coast trip, including being shutout twice.

After winning two games out of three against the Oakland Athletics, Tigers have lost all four games against the Los Angeles Angels. They still cannot seem to figure out how to win games at Angels Stadium in Anaheim, as they are now 1-11 at the “Big A” since the 2012 season. Last Thursday, Angels starter C.J. Wilson was let off the hook numerous times by Tigers hitters, but earned the victory. In last Friday’s game, Hector Santiago kept the Tigers off the scoreboard, completely.
