2018 MLB All-Star Game site announced

On July 14th, the MLB’s best and brightest stars will be gathering in Cincinnati, Ohio to participate in the 2015 MLB All-Star Game. It will be the first time the City of Cincinnati has hosted the star-studded event. In 2016, Petco Park in San Diego will be the host stadium for the All-Star Game. This will break the tradition of alternating venues between the two leagues every year for the third time in the league’s history. The first time happened in 1951, when the Detroit Tigers hosted as a part of the city’s 250th birthday. Then in 2007, AT&T Park in San Francisco held the mid-summer classic after PNC Park in Pittsburgh was the host city the year before.

In 2017, the string of National League stadiums hosting the All-Star Game will continue, as the relatively new Marlins Park in Miami will play host for the league’s best players. When 2018 rolls around, you can make it four consecutive seasons that the game stays in the National League.
