Pistons’ big man Andre Drummond saw his night end early on Tuesday when Detroit was in Charlotte. Late in the second quarter, Drummond was assessed a flagrant-2 foul for making contact to the head of Hornets’ center Roy Hibbert. The questionable call warranted a mandatory ejection of Drummond from the game. (ICYMI: You can watch the play above and see Drummond’s reaction)
All calls such as the one against Drummond are often reviewed by the NBA and upon, Andre is going to have to cut a check to the league.

It was the first career ejection for Drummond in his five professional seasons. He finished that game playing just a shade under 13 minutes on the floor, totaling three points and six boards. Despite his early exit, the Pistons went on to rout the Hornets 112-89.
The fifth-year pro out of Connecticut understandably saw the play as nothing more than two big men competing for positioning down low. He knows and wants people to know that he is not a dirty player and such a call is not indicative of his play style.
