The Detroit Red Wings finally snapped their losing streak, with a 3-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks in OT, their first ever win in the new 3-on-3 OT format. Petr Mrazek took control of a loose puck in the Red Wings’ end, breaking up the chance of an odd-man opportunity for the Canucks. He sent it up ice to a waiting Gustav Nyquist at the opposing blue line. Nyquist went in alone on Ryan Miller and sniped it glove-side for the game-winner.
