The 3 top remaining goaltenders for Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman to choose from

Red Wings GM Steve Yzerman still has options to choose from to shore up Detroit's crease.

The Detroit Red Wings wrapped up a busy 2020 NHL Draft by selecting 12 new faces, including Swedish forward Lucas Raymond with the 4th overall pick.

Additionally, they spent their day shaping how next year's team will look by tendering qualifying offers to a handful of players, while passing on doing so on the likes of Madison Bowey and Brendan Perlini.

However, one position that still needs attention remains between the pipes.

Yzerman confirmed that the team will be looking to free-agency to bring aboard another goaltender to shore up the crease after the announcement that veteran Jimmy Howard won't be returning to the team after having spent over a decade with the franchise.

However, several of the potential options that were on the table for GM Steve Yzerman and Co. to pair up with starter Jonathan Bernier are no longer and will soon no longer be available on the open market

Robin Lehner has re-signed a long term deal with the Vegas Golden Knights, while Matt Murray has been traded to the Ottawa Senators. Meanwhile, former Red Wings GM Ken Holland is reportedly aggressively pursuing Jacob Markstrom.

Not to worry, however.

Among the options that Yzerman will be considering will include Dallas Stars goaltender Anton Khudobin, who recently led the Stars to within two wins of the Stanley Cup last month. TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun reported earlier today that unless something changes in short order, Khudobin will be testing the market.

Additionally, Calgary Flames goaltender Cam Talbot will surely garner interest after enjoying a bounce-back year in 2019-20.

San Jose's Aaron Dell is up for grabs after the Sharks acquired Devan Dubnyk from Minnesota, as well as New York Islanders goaltender Thomas Greiss.

All of these options would cost considerably less than Washington Capitals goaltender Brayden Holtby, who is expected to move on from the nation's capitol amidst their reported interest in Henrik Lundvqist.

Red Wings fans, who do you anticipate Yzerman offering a free-agent deal to?
