According to just about everyone you could possibly ask, Detroit Red Wings‘ general manager Steve Yzerman has made the biggest improvements to his roster than any other general manager in the NHL.

But despite those improvements, staff from The Athletic believe the Red Wings will still be the worst team in the league in 2020-21 and it will not be close.
In a recent piece, writers from The Athletic put together their current NHL power rankings and the Red Wings came in dead last at No. 31 and they are the favorites to earn the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NHL Draft.
“No team improved more this offseason, but that’s not saying much for a team that was historically bad last year. The Red Wings are less bad now but still the league’s worst team by a sizeable margin.”
Nation, do you agree with The Athletic writers or do you think the Red Wings can make some noise in the 2020-21 season?
