1. 2006: Ernie Sims, LB, Florida State

Taking a look at these last few draft classes, I start asking myself, “Why are these all so bad?” Then I remembered, Matt Millen was in charge.

The 2006 draft class was amazingly mediocre and the No. 9 overall pick Ernie Sims was the clear choice out of the likes of Daniel Bullocks, Brian Calhoun, and Johnathon Scott.

While Sims is more valuable in Madden than he is in real life, he did have some productive years for the Lions. In four years in the Honolulu blue, Sims racked up 281 tackles and one interception.

Sims left Detroit for Philadelphia in 2010, and last played a game in the NFL in 2013 as a member of the Dallas Cowboys.
