1. 2005: Dan Orlovsky, QB, Connecticut

The fact that Dan Orlovsky is the best player is all you should need to know about the 2005 class that brought us Mike Williams, Shaun Cody, Stanley Wilson, and Johnathan Goddard.

Orlovsky was a fifth-round pick and has been a career backup in the NFL, mostly in Detroit. As a member of the Lions, Orlovsky has thrown for a little under 2,000 yards and nine touchdowns.

The Lions only had five picks in 2005, which is probably a good thing because had they had many more, they might have accidentally signed somebody to a long-term extension.
