On Thanksgiving Day, the Detroit Lions played uninspired football during a 41-25 butt whooping at the hands of the Houston Texans.
In fact, it truly looked like the Lions were just going through the motions on that day, rather than trying to win a football game and save their now former head coach’s job.
Two days after the loss to the Texans, Lions owner Sheila Ford Hamp announced that head coach Matt Patricia and his buddy Bob Quinn had been fired.
Fast forward to yesterday and the Lions looked like a different team. Sure, they looked like the Same Old Lions at times but the team never quit and ended up storming back to defeat the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field by a score of 34-30.
In doing so, the Lions may very well have gotten another coach fired. But this time, it is a coach from the Bears.
That’s right, according to the most recent odds, Bears head coach Matt Nagy (+500) now has the fifth-best odds to be the next NFL head coach to be fired.
