The Detroit Red Wings have been without the services of star center Pavel Datsyuk for two games now, and in both of those games they went without critical wins.
Datsyuk has been sidelined with a nagging lower-body injury that flared back up again earlier this week. It was announced Friday that he would return to the lineup against the Minnesota Wild on Saturday. The team is much stronger with him in the lineup, even not playing at 100%, so this could be very good for the Red Wings, who are hanging on to their 3rd place in the Atlantic by a string.
Datsyuk is second in scoring for Detroit this season, with 24 goals and 60 points in 59 games played.
