Tonight’s Red Wings player to watch: Robby Fabbri
Fabbri is making his return to the Red Wings looking to add a little spark to this offense. This is Fabbri’s first game of the 2022-23 season after missing time due to an ACL injury he sustained last season.
Robby Fabbri’s career, thusfar
In his career Fabs has scored 73 goals and tallied 79 assists for 152 total points while playing in 302 games, that is between his time with the St. Louis Blues and Detroit Red Wings. On November 6th he was traded by the Blues to the Red Wings in exchange for Jacob de la Rosa. Since Fabbri has become a Wing, he has appeared in 138 games and scored 41 goals, and had 38 assists for 79 points.
Where is Fabbri expected to play vs. Devils?
Derek LaLonde said this morning he will on he was seen skating at practice alongside Pius Suter and Oskar Sundqvist on the fourth line, Fabbri also played with Oskar Sundqvist when both played for the St. Louis Blues. Fabbri had an assist on a Sundqvist goal during the 2018-2019 season so let us hope their playing alongside each other matches up for some Detroit goals.
Fabbri will also play on the second power play unit tonight alongside Sundqvist, Joe Veleno, Dominik Kubalik, and Filip Hronek. Through his career on the power play, Fabbri has scored 13 goals and 18 assists for 31 points on the man advantage. Against the Devils in his career, Fabbri has appeared in seven games scoring two goals and tallying two assists for four career points.
