The Detroit Tigers optioned pitchers Buck Farmer and Rafael Dolis to the Triple A Toledo Mud Hens this morning. The Tigers continue to make roster cuts as they work there way down to the final 25 man roster for opening day.
Farmer will get stretch out and start the season as a starting pitcher at Toledo, Brad Ausmus said.

The stretching out of Farmer with the Mud Hens means he may become Detroit’s spot starter throughout the season, or possibly replacement pitcher for injuries. Nonetheless, this is a good move for Detroit and Farmer as he can continue to make himself an asset to the organization.
