On Tuesday night, following the Detroit Tigers win over the Milwaukee Brewers, the team announced that OF Christin Stewart, who was hitting just .171 through 33 games this season, has been optioned to Toledo.
While talking to reporters after the game, Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire teased a corresponding move, saying it would be “a fun thing for Tigers fans…You’ll have to wait and see when we announce it tomorrow.”
