In case you have not heard, the Detroit Tigers finally called up their top pitching prospect Casey Mize and he will make his Major League debut on Wednesday night against the Chicago White Sox.
Mize, who is 23, is the same age as Justin Verlander was when he won his Rookie of the Year award with the Tigers back in 2006.
On Tuesday, one of the best athletes of all-time, Bo Jackson, took to Twitter to congratulate Mize and wish him “good luck” in his debut.
As you may or may not know, Bo and Mize both attended Auburn during their college days.
Congrats on the call up @Casey_Mize and good luck in your MLB debut!#WarDamnEagle pic.twitter.com/DEld4azOpB
