The Detroit Tigers have decided to give Alfredo Simon a few more days to rest his sore groin. Simon hurt his groin in a start on July 25th against the Boston Red Sox.
Alfredo Simon will be pushed back three days because of his sore right groin, Brad Ausmus said.

Tigers manager Brad Ausmus seemed fairly concerned about the injury.
“I’m concerned about it,” Ausmus said. “And I don’t get concerned about many things. Just because he felt good in his bullpen before his last start and then didn’t look real good, so we’ll give him these extra days. … Obviously, if we have to adjust, we will.
The Tigers have an off day Monday, so Ausmus will use that to his advantage to tweak the rotation.
