Within the past hour or so, news broke that the Detroit Lions were placing Matthew Stafford on the Reserve/COVID-19 list and we felt a punch to our gut.
Now, we have a small update on the situation and it should help everyone feel a little better.
According to Tom Pelissero, his understanding is that Stafford is asymptomatic.
Now, not to speculate, but Pelissero reporting that Stafford is asymptomatic likely means the Lions QB did test positive for COVID-19 rather than just being on the list because he came into contact with somebody who tested positive.
My understanding is Matthew Stafford is asymptomatic. Every player who tests positive or has close contact with person(s) who did goes on the list. https://t.co/lyJgGJJkMJ
