Week 1 of the 2017 NFL regular season is officially in the books, which also means you now know how your fantasy football team(s) fared in the first week of action. If you secured a victory in the opening week, congrats! But if you lost, don’t freak out quite yet, it’s a long season and crazy things can (and will) happen.

Maybe you are already in panic-mode because you have David Johnson on your roster or maybe you dominated in Week 1 but want to take the steps to improve your team on a week-to-week basis. Regardless of the position you are currently in, we have you covered.

Here is a list of the Top 10 waiver wire pick ups heading into Week 2.

1Tarik Cohen (RB) – Chicago Bears

If you had not heard of Tarik Cohen prior to Week 1, you certainly have now. Though he may only be 5’6″, Cohen proved on Sunday that he could be a force to be reckoned with moving forward, especially in PPR formats. Look for him to be the primary back for the Bears in passing downs this season.

2Kerwynn Williams (RB) – Arizona Cardinals

If you have David Johnson on your roster you are probably freaking out right now as he is expected to miss months with a dislocated wrist. It appears that Kerwynn Williams will be the next in line to carry the bulk of the load for the Cardinals as the season goes on, though running back by committee could also be the approach. Though I would rather have Cohen for the long-haul, if I had Johnson I would seriously consider going with Williams.

3Javorius Allen (RB) – Baltimore Ravens

With Danny Woodhead leaving with a hamstring injury, Javorius Allen picked up the load, carrying the ball 21 times for 71 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals. If Woodhead misses extended action, which is very possible, Allen could be a nice flex player moving forward.

4Cooper Kupp (WR) – L.A. Rams

If you are in need of a No. 3 wide receiver in a PPR league, look no further than Cooper Cupp. In Week 1, he led the Rams with 76 yards and he caught his first career touchdown. Though he probably will not put up MONSTER numbers very often, he does seem to be the favorite target Jared Goff, so he is worth a pickup.

5Kenny Golladay (WR) – Detroit Lions

The Kenny Golladay hype train has left the station, but luckily for you, he is likely still available in your league. After catching his first two touchdowns in Week 1 against the Cardinals, Golladay is sure to be picked up in most leagues. Don’t expect him to put up numbers like he did this week on a regular basis but either you pick him up now or you watch from the sidelines.

6Marqise Lee (WR) – Jacksonville Jaguars

If you selected Alan Robinson in your fantasy draft like I did, your dreams of a big-time season from him were shattered immediately. Robinson is out for the season with a torn ACL and Marqise Lee, despite not catching a ball in Week 1 will likely get the start in his place.

7Kendall Wright (WR) – Chicago Bears

The Bears receiving corp is in rough shape. Period. With Kevin White and Cameron Meredith both out, Wright has found himself as the Bears No. 1 receiver and he has the upside of being a No. 2 fantasy WR, though I would consider him more of a No. 3 at the moment.

8Chris Carson (RB) – Seattle Seahawks

On Sunday, Chris Carson led the Seahawks running backs in both carries and yards. Though I certainly would not count on that to happen on a week-to-week basis, he is talented and could force the Seahawks coaching staff to play him more and more. At the moment, I would not count on Carson to be more than a flex option.

9Charles Clay (TE) – Buffalo Bills

I am usually not a fan of spending my FAB (free agent budget) on tight ends unless I am desperate. That being said, Clay is one who could be worth the grab if you waited to the final rounds to grab your starting TE. He led the Bills with nine targets on Sunday and he could be a consistent producer for the rest of the season.

10Marlon Mack (RB) – Indianapolis Colts

If you cannot snag one of the top running backs on this list, or if you are just looking to add a sleeper who could pan out, Marlon Mack is your guy. Frank Gore is currently the starter in Indianapolis but we all now it is just a matter of time before the 34-year-old runs out of gas. Have room on your roster for a stash? Pick up Mack.
