1B. 2017 ROSE BOWL GAME – January 2nd, 2017
We may be cheating a little at this point, but the Rose Bowl was such an amazing game. The battle in Pasadena saw the resurgence of two sleeping giants in USC and Penn State. The two teams went back and forth and finished the game in exciting fashion, ironically cheapening the College Football Playoff semi-finals that played two days earlier.

This game finished in a way only a title game can. The Clemson Tigers finally struck down the mighty Alabama dynasty. It took them 59 minutes and 59 seconds to do so, but this game wouldn't already be considered an all-time great if it went any other way.
