Top 10 plays of the Detroit Lions 2016 season

2. Matthew Stafford pivotal touchdown run vs. Bears

That’s my quarterback! Unexpectedly losing to an inferior Chicago Bears team at home, the Lions once again are bailed out by their most valuable player and once more Matthew Stafford shows he will do whatever it takes to score the ball in clutch situations.

1. Golden Tate’s game-winning, overtime catch and run touchdown in Minnesota

I hadn’t screamed that loud since Matt Stafford’s fake spike touchdown to beat Dallas a couple years back and the beautiful play was so unexpected that it caused a roar from Lions’ fans from Warren to Marquette. It was a play that signified a relief from the disappointment that tainted the first four games of the season as well as the arrival of the Lions as a playoff contender in 2016.
