7. Bart Starr (Super Bowl I and II)
Coaching great, Vince Lombardi led his Green Bay Packers into the first ever Super Bowl against the Kansas City Chiefs. At halftime, the game saw a score of 14-10 in favor of the Packers. Early in the 3rd quarter, a key interception seemed to fuel the Packers and that’s when Bart Starr and the Packers offense complimented the effort of what the defense was giving. Green Bay would go on to score 21 unanswered points and defeat the Chiefs by a score of 35 to 10 to become the first ever Super Bowl Champions.
The following season, the Packers were back in the Super Bowl, this time against the Oakland Raiders. Lombardi’s squad would again reign supreme and become back-to-back champions. Bart Starr totaled 452 passing yards, 3 touchdowns, and only 1 interception in the two games.
