Since backing out of a commitment to Georgetown, 6'6 forward Terrance Williams from Washington D.C. is weighing his options as he's being recruited by several schools across the country.
“I’m going to take a couple of visit,” Williams said. “I only have one planned right now, but I’m going to take more down the road because I have five more in my senior season visits. I want to get some visits in, I just don’t have a timeframe right now.”
He'll be visiting the Michigan Wolverines from December 28-30, and had positive things to say about coach Juwan Howard and the coaching staff in Ann Arbor.
“I like coach [Juwan] Howard and I like the way he carries himself,” Williams told 247Sports. “He has a good personality. I love that about him. He’s a player’s coach. When I watched them at Battle 4 Atlantis, I liked the way he coached and the adjustments he made, especially with the coach staff as well.”
Williams is now already being recruited by friend and recent Wolverines commit, 4-star center Hunter Dickinson:
“As soon as he committed, I commented, ‘yes sir, bro,’ So he commented and said, ‘you next’ and then he texted me and said ‘you next, we need you,’ Williams explained.
And speaking of recruiting, Williams has a connection to associate coach Phil Martelli, which could bode well for Michigan's chances of landing him.
“Coach Martelli, he recruited me when he was at St. Joe’s, so he followed me over,” he added. “Coach Juwan took pride in recruiting me from the start. That’s one school that I wish I looked at earlier, but they offered so late, I was already committed to Georgetown by then.”
Williams is currently ranked the No. 17 power forward in 2020.
