KICKOFF: Noon ET on Fox Sports 1

LINE: WVU -2

OVER/UNDER: 64

64 for the over/under? I’ll take the over, please. Actually that is not a total guarantee that it’ll be one of those old fashioned Texas shootouts. The West Virginia defense has actually been very solid this year, giving up just a little more than 20 points per game this year. And when you typically think Mountaineer football, you think stuffing the stat sheet. They are averaging more than 500 yards per game and boast a very balanced attack on offense.

The Texas Longhorns meanwhile have won three of their last four following a three-game losing skid. They have a chance to salvage an 8-4 game with favorable match-ups in the final two weeks of the season, but they have to pull off the upset of West Virginia first. It’d easily be the best mark in Charlie Strong’s three years at Austin. They do feature some play-makers, freshman quarterback Shane Buechele has shown a lot of positives in year one, and junior tailback D’Onta Foreman has been bats*** crazy, logging more than 1,400 yards rushing.

These two teams have split their four meetings since the Mountaineers joined the Big 12 in 2012. The scoring differential in the first two was just a combined ten points. The latter two? 35 points.
