#2- Joaquin Benoit
Another former Tiger here, but Dombrowski shouldn’t have let him go to begin with. Joaquin Benoit was in Detroit for three seasons averaging a 2.89 ERA. Benoit is a great relief man, and the Tigers really need all the help they can get in the bullpen. Benoit was one of the best relievers in the league in 2014 for the San Diego Padres, with a 1.49 ERA in 53 appearances. Many fans would probably hate this move because of the heart problems he caused fans to have when he was our closer, but he would definitely give the pen a boost. Benoit has found much success in the set up role, which is where he would be slotted with Joakim Soria taking a stranglehold on the closer job.
