4. Aurielo Lopez (1979-1985)

  • Another member of the 1984 World Series Championship team, Lopez did it all for the Tigers over his 7-year stint. Whether it was being the closer, or being the setup man for guys such as Willie Hernandez, Lopez always showed up when the Tigers needed him most. Over his 7-year stint with Detroit, the right-hander compiled a 53-30 record with a 3.41 ERA and 85 saves, despite being the lone closer for only a very short stint.
