#1 – 1919 Chicago White Sox (Major League Baseball)
The 1919 Chicago White Sox, better known as the Black Sox, were involved in one of the biggest scandals in the history of sports when eight players helped to fix the World Series.
Those eight players were banned from baseball for life for intentionally losing games and allowing the Cincinnati Reds to win the 1919 World Series.
The players not only lost the games on purpose, but they provided information to gamblers in order to make some money for themselves.
