U-M and MSU could battle for top in-state recruit Daelin Hayes

Following USC head football coach Steve Sarkisian’s decision to take an indefinite leave to address a series of personal issues, top recruit Daelin Hayes has decided to decommit from the program.

Hayes, a linebacker who currently attends Ann Arbor Skyline High School, is considered by most to be the top football recruit in Michigan. He explained his decision to leave USC via his Twitter account.

Prior to his commitment to USC, Hayes had offers from both Michigan and Michigan State. Now that he’s back on the market, both teams are expected to compete for his services.
