UFC Fight Night: McGregor vs. Siver

Conor McGregor is quickly becoming a household name in the UFC, and it is because of his high-octane fighting style. He is fun to watch, methodical, and hard to hit. At 16-2-0, McGregor is looking for a win over Dennis Siver (22-9-0), and to be next in line to fight the UFC’s featherweight champion, Jose Aldo.

Siver is looking like a top featherweight, also, and thinks he is going to be the guy to stop McGregor’s rise to the top dead in its tracks. McGregor is the far more aggressive fighter, and it will be interesting to see if Siver can withstand the tempest that McGregor is sure to throw at him. Siver is known for having an abundance of scar tissue in his face, so McGregor’s strikes could be even more devastating than usual.

Also on the fight card is Donald Cerrone (26-6-0). Just 2 weeks removed from his victory over Myles Jury (15-1-0), Cerrone is stepping into the cage again. This time, it is with the ever-exciting Benson Henderson (21-4-0). Stepping up to fight in two weeks is a grueling task, and Cerrone is taking a huge risk. However, he took the fight eagerly. Cerrone says he is ready for Henderson, and we all hope he is. This fight could bring some real excitement to the show.

The UFC is steadily becoming a premier sports organization, and they are really starting to give the fans what they want. More fights, and better fights. Two talented fighters will also be making anticipated re-entries to the cage, Uriah Hall (10-4-0) and Norman Parke (21-2-1). This fight card has all of the makings of a large pay-per-view event, but can be viewed instead free-of-charge on Fox Sports 1.
