WATCH: Miguel Carbrera works out with LeBron James’ trainer

2017 is a season Detroit Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera would rather just put behind him. In 130 games, Miggy only hit .249 with 16 home runs and 60 RBIs. His slugging percentage (.399) and OPS (.728) were both career lows.

Just last week during the general manager meetings in Orlando, Tigers GM Al Avila said that Cabrera has already been training for 2018 and that he is feeling good.

Justin Verlander is no longer a member of the Detroit Tigers but that does not mean he is not paying attention to some of he fellow athletes in Detroit.

On Thursday, Verlander must have been watching the Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Day matchup against the Minnesota Vikings when he heard a familiar name being shouted by Lions quarterback, Matthew Stafford.
