Prior to Tuesday’s Summer Training exhibition game between the Detroit Tigers and Cincinnati Reds, the national anthem was played and four players decided to kneel.

All four players, as you can see below, were from the Reds.

Those players were Phillip Ervin, Joey Votto, Amir Garrett, and Alex Blandino.

It is important to note that the entire Tigers team was not on the field for the anthem.

UPDATE:

Following the game, Tigers SS Niko Goodrum revealed that the team had a meeting and several players chose to stay in the clubhouse while the national anthem was played.
