As we await the start of training camp on July 31, we figured we would take a quick look to see where our Detroit Lions currently sit in the NFL in regards to available cap space.
The Lions currently have $17,890,139 in available cap space, which ranks them No. 7 in the league, just ahead of the 49ers and Bengals.
Though the Lions do have some money available to spend, I really do not expect them to make any big splashes before training camp. Instead, I could see them adding some veteran depth for lower cap hits. That being said, only time will tell what Brad Holmes will decide to do.
