Urban Meyer fires back at ex-Buckeye Marcus Williamson’s allegations

The Jacksonville Jaguars made the decision earlier this month to terminate Urban Meyer as head coach following a disastrous 2-11 start to the 2021 season that was littered with controversy and strife.

William stated that Meyer said he’d “ruin my f—–g life” if the coach ever caught Williamson smoking, and also showed a picture of Trayvon Martin in a team meeting prohibiting the wearing of hoodies in team facilities.

“Man, where do I start about Williamson comments about the OSU football program,” Jones tweeted Sunday. “Trying to paint the program & it’s leaders out to be racist is mind blowing! I can’t speak on his experience but I’m sure a LARGE number of players who played at OSU would disagree with his comments.”

According to author Jeff Snook, who has authored multiple books about Ohio State athletics, Meyer is denying every one of Williamson's allegations.

“Our team rule was not hats or hoodies or sunglasses of any kind but only in team meetings, just so we could see their eyes and make sure they were paying attention and not asleep,” Meyer told Snook. “We did not, and never would show a picture of Trayvon Martin. My gosh, no. That is absolutely false and you can check with any other player on my teams during that time to confirm what I am saying. Other players know what he is saying is false. I would never do that. He is crossing the line here. It seems people are just piling on now. But that never happened.”
