Urban Meyer officially hired as head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars already have the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, and now they have themselves a new head coach.

Former Ohio State Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer is headed back to the state of Florida, officially accepting the Jaguars job after the team parted ways with Doug Marrone following a 1-15 2020 record.

The team released a statement following the announcement:

Meyer owns a 187-32 college coaching record with Bowling Green, Utah, Florida, and Ohio State while winning three national titles. He becomes the 6th permanent head coach in Jacksonville in the past 27 years.
