VIDEO: Anthony Mantha fights with now-teammate Patrick Nemeth

This seems to be a trend – Detroit Red Wings forward Anthony Mantha fighting a member of the opposition only to see him become a teammate in the summer!

Former Colorado Avalanche defenseman Patrik Nemeth has been signed by the Red Wings to a two-year contract worth $2.5 million per season. Last year during a game in December, Nemeth dropped the gloves with Mantha at Little Caesars Arena. Mantha jumped in to the defense of forward Dylan Larkin, who had just taken a hard hit from Nemeth.

Mantha also fought soon-to-be teammate Luke Witkowski, then a member of the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2017. The fight resulted in a broken hand for Mantha, ending his season early.
