Detroit Red Wings forward Evgeny Svechnikov made the most of his NHL debut.
Just called up from Grand Rapids earlier in the day, Svechnikov scored the game-winning shootout goal for the Red Wings against the Ottawa Senators in front of a packed Joe Louis Arena crowd.
His backhand deke through the legs of goaltender Craig Anderson sealed the win for Detroit, improving them to 9-0 in the shootout this season.
