On Friday night, Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Kole Calhoun made a fan for life. In fact, he probably made quite a few new fans after how he handled a play in the bottom of the fourth inning against the Atlanta Braves.
The play happened when Calhoun made one hell of an attempt to catch a foul ball that carried into the stands down the first baseline.
Watch as Calhoun busts his tail, tracks down the ball, reaches over the fence to make the play, only to see the ball go right into the mitt of a young fan sitting in the first row.
Rather than complaining, or even looking upset, Calhoun acknowledged the great play by the kid by giving him a fist bump as the boys’ mother (we assume) watches in disbelief.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is what it is all about. I know I am now a fan of Kole Calhoun! (I’m also a huge fan of the young fan who made a great catch!)
